HAI & Russound Integration Problem

Hello Everyone -

First of all - I LOVE Cocoon Tech. Best HA forum ever. Ok, with that out of the way, I have hit a big road block with in using my HAI OmniTouch 5.7e keypads to control my Russound MCA-C5 system. I was able to configure the two systems and get them talking - and the integration works on all of my touchscreens.

The problem is that the HAI touchscreens WILL NOT switch the source, in any given room in the system (I tried all sources). Of course, I named all of the sources in Russound the same as the sources in HAI. I can SEE the sources and when I select a source, it does not give an error, it merely takes me back to the Russound control page without actually changing the source.

Has anyone seen anything thing like this or have any ideas? I have updated ALL firmwares, except the MCA-C5 (going to try that next) - but the unit is bran new, so I don't think that is really going to turn out to be the problem.

Ok - so I figured this problem out and I figured I would post a "reply" to my own post, just in case anyone else runs across the same problem and happens upon this "thread"

So, it turns out that HAI has two serial port settings for Russound. One is just Russound (which is what mine was set to) and the other is "Russound C and E Series" which is what mine NEEDED to be set to.

I changed the serial port setting in the HAI pannel, and this fixed the problem immediatly.
