Hai thermostat and ELK M1G

Right now I have my RC80 monitored by homeseer using plugin. This gives me current week and prior week runtime as well as filter days, not to mention that you can display oustide temp which ELK does not support yet. Is it possible to connect this RC80 to both homeseer and M1xsp ???
Thanks

The OmniStat 2 thermostat support for the M1 will be available soon as a software upgrade.

If a thermostat is connected to the M1, then Homeseer can read the thermostat information from the M1.

Will it support such things as current week and prior week runtime, and filter days and outside temp?

We are opening up all the data of the OmniStat 2 to be accessable through the M1 using some new RS232 ASCII protocol commands. Third party software can access, change, and display the data. An upgrade to ELKRM will be able to access and display the thermostat data.

There is a lot of potential data to work with in the OmniStat 2, so it will be up to the third party programmers as to how much they want to display and use.

waynew,

If you can't wait for the new rs-232 commands, and updates to all the relevant drivers, you can try using serial-to-Ethernet adapters like this.

Will you also be opening up all the data of the OmniStat 1? As mentioned in the original post, the OmniStat 1 as a bunch of features the Elk M1 doesn't provide access to.

Will that work in both 4.x and 5.x versions of the M1, or only in 5.x where there has been some addt'l space freed up?
