Harmony Ultimate Hub

Is anyone using the new Harmony Ultimate remote and Hub? It is an IP connected hub that connects with hand held remotes through RF and mobile apps over wifi. What I see promising is that harmony has said that ip control of more devices is coming and insinuated that and api may come. I like the idea that with an HA system I could select a video to play from my tablet but then use a hard button remote for control and status is kept in sync between the two.
 
It looks like someone has already started reverse engineering the protocol for the hub.

Kinda scared to buy Harmony products ever since Logitech announced they want to get rid of it. Plus my 720 is still working great.

They said they were going to keep the Harmony BU.

Only because they didn't get any offers. So how long before they try again or decide to just get rid of it?
