Have a gander at the supermoon tonight if you haven't already

Yes it was a sight to see!

Here I took a few pictures.   Did also see a meteor in the vicinity for a short time a little bit after the full eclipse started.

Yeah here we had a very nice view from the back yard deck in the beginning then a bit of clouds then it cleared up with a nice full view.

Next full eclipse will be in the year 2033.

I had issues getting sharp pictures during the full eclipse even using a tripod here.

The light becomes so low it is very hard to photograph. I got a few shots through a pair of stabilising binoculars though.

Will be a full solar eclipse in 2017 for us. Geographic area for viewing is much smaller than lunar eclipses though.

Tix to Kraftwerk, had to miss it. Quite an experience.

They've been around for forty-odd years, paralleling the transition to a digital world.

I did not know that Kraftwerk was still around.  I have their first album and for whatever reason listen to Autobahn when stuck in traffic.

Not related to the OP but some now-now-then and now-then entertainment...

It was one giant cloud here, so nada. The longer I've been back in SC, the less I like it. It was a stupidly hot summer, then we had like two decent days, then it went to cold enough to be walking around in fuzzy socks and sweats, and now it's a two week long mono-cloud covering the entire sky, with intermittent rain. I used to have more great days in December out in Silicon Valley than we've had here the whole year, leaving aside the almost permanent great day from April from October.

Someone 'splain to me again why people live here?

Yeah here in the midwest the view was great from the back yard and just a bit overcast.

Retired neighbors in FL have purchased homes / condos in SC and now rent their homes in FL.  Wife prefers SC over FL these days.
