Help for best LED chandelier bulbs

I have a 9-bulb chandelier in my 2-story foyer (about 14-16' from floor), and would like to replace the candelabra bulbs with LEDs. The bulbs face upwards. My wish list includes:

- As close to $10/bulb as possible
- Warm white required
- Dimmable optimal

I have two questions. Does anyone have experience using LEDs in upward-facing chandeliers? If so, do they cast enough light given that the nature of the LEDs is that they cast more light upwards than downwards?

Any recommendations for bulbs that fit these criteria? Unfortunately, if the bulbs are more in the $20+ range it becomes unaffordable given that I need 9 of them.

I have used the Phillips LED chandallier bulbs in my office wall sconces. They are closer to $20 than $10. They do dimm very nicely and produce and pretty good warm color. It does have a very slight "rose" color hue. They are not super bright, more like 25 or 30 watt eq. The use 2.5 watts. They are upfacing and the do put the light out nicely in all directions. They are not directly visible however as they have a frosted glass "shade". I am not sure what you would think of them when you can see them directly.

This is also something for which I have been looking. I think I have seen the phillips lamps. I probably would pull the trigger except they are physically too large for my application. I also want to use a similar LED lamp in some window candles.

I am not sure that I like the frosted lens, but this would at least give better light distribution. I will look again at the phillips lamps, just to be sure.
