I have a 9-bulb chandelier in my 2-story foyer (about 14-16' from floor), and would like to replace the candelabra bulbs with LEDs. The bulbs face upwards. My wish list includes:
- As close to $10/bulb as possible
- Warm white required
- Dimmable optimal
I have two questions. Does anyone have experience using LEDs in upward-facing chandeliers? If so, do they cast enough light given that the nature of the LEDs is that they cast more light upwards than downwards?
Any recommendations for bulbs that fit these criteria? Unfortunately, if the bulbs are more in the $20+ range it becomes unaffordable given that I need 9 of them.
