Help with some lightning automation!

I had a look at the pictures.  Very nice drawings.

Personally here for electric lighting have wired switches in proximity to lighting in same said areas / rooms where the lighting is at.

Is it common for homes there in Brazil to have all of the light switches in one place from a place that you cannot see the groups of lights?

Here utilizing my UPB in wall light switches I control local and surround lights via the switch by utilizing direct wire connections and transport between the switches for scenes.  An example is a switch I utilize with two electric loads and multiple toggles to control multiple groups of lighting in one room or adjacent rooms.

Have a look here.  Note that UPB is utilizing the power line for means of transport or inter switch communications.

The switches function by themselves or via some means of control utilizing a controller.

Note the 13 groups of lights above could be controlled by some 6-7 UPB switches (dual load) with multiple group control (multiple paddles).

It is just another way to automate light switches.  (as previously mentioned there are many ways today).

No, hehe

I just dont want 13 switches in one place.

That is what i want to do, like this pic you posted.. But i dont want UPB.

I cant find a switch that uses 2 eletric loads (or more) when looking for Z-wave or ZigBee.. So i thought that i can use some micro switches( http://store.homeseer.com/store/Micro-Switches-C255.aspx ) and connect them to 6 eletric load normal switches.

What do you think?

Oh, and im looking for a audio system to put with the automation. Trying to figure out how to control them.. Maybe a universal remote control with compatibilit with the home automation?

Yup; you would have to purchase 13 microswitches switches such that each switch would control power to one group of lights.

How would you control the 13 microswitches with 6 regular switches?

I guess you could utilize double switches maybe?

Personally here utilize Russound.

Here I prefer to have the speakers blend in to the room (in the walls) for backround audio music and stuff.

I treat the media rooms differently with a mixture of exterior speakers and in wall speakers.

It really depends on how you like to hear your audio (music).  The choices are endless today.

Personally here in the early 2000's wired audio zones via speaker cable and cat5e using Leviton's Digital Chopin system.  Later I was able to utilize the cat5e for controllers.  That said same said controllers today are or can be little touchscreens.

Many folks here also utilize  Nuvo

And some are utilizing Sonos

There are a lot of choices today regarding audio.  The above are just 3.

Have a read here relating to the variety of Audio systems utilized by the folks here on Cocoontech.

The integration today of audio systems and automation is easy today.

Oh, sorry.

I'll buy 2x 6 eletric load switches and one dimmer (we have one group with dimmer).
This way will be more beautiful..

Do you control them (audio and your home) with a universal remote?

Well, you are really helping, Pete!
Many thanks!!

Do you control them (audio and your home) with a universal remote?

I can and have universal remote controls; but do not utilize them today for whole house automation (IE: Logitech for example).

I have been playing with little tabletop touchscreens which can talk to the house.  They are not wireless.  I do similiar though with wireless tablets.

Here is some stuff I am playing with....

A Furby, LOL

What does it do?

Thank you for the support! i learned a lot!!

If i have more questions i'll be back :)

What does it do?

Nothing today.  It did scare my daughter when I purchased it for her many many years ago (~1998).  Maybe she was too young?

She hid it in her closet.

I kept it because I waited hours to purchase it one year before Christmas.  (all the kids wanted one; well except for my daughter after playing with it for a short time).

Today it sits there to bug her when she visits (she is older today and just laughs when she sees it).
