I had a look at the pictures. Very nice drawings.
Personally here for electric lighting have wired switches in proximity to lighting in same said areas / rooms where the lighting is at.
Is it common for homes there in Brazil to have all of the light switches in one place from a place that you cannot see the groups of lights?

Here utilizing my UPB in wall light switches I control local and surround lights via the switch by utilizing direct wire connections and transport between the switches for scenes. An example is a switch I utilize with two electric loads and multiple toggles to control multiple groups of lighting in one room or adjacent rooms.
Have a look here. Note that UPB is utilizing the power line for means of transport or inter switch communications.
The switches function by themselves or via some means of control utilizing a controller.
Note the 13 groups of lights above could be controlled by some 6-7 UPB switches (dual load) with multiple group control (multiple paddles).

It is just another way to automate light switches. (as previously mentioned there are many ways today).
