HLC Room Controller - Faceplate Screw Size

Does anyone know what size the small screw is that holds the faceplate in place on the HLC 6 button room controllers? I called HAI tech support and they told me it was a metric #2. However, when I take a screw from the HLC and try it in a sizing chart, it seems slightly smaller than a metric #2. I also, went ahead and bought some metric #2 and they are clearly a little bit too big when I try to screw them into the room controller. My controller is a few years old, so I am wondering if they changed screw sizes at some point?

Without seeing it I don't know - but I would have suspected it'd be a standard wall-plate screw? Have you checked for those? you can get a package of wallplate or outlet screws in the electrical area of HD.

Nope, these are tiny. Somewhat smaller than a metric #2. This is the screw that attaches the faceplate to the body of the switch. Not the screw that attaches the faceplate to the wall box.
