HomeSeer Releases 7" In-Wall LCD Touchscreen
Bedford, NH – HomeSeer Technologies announces the release of its new HST-IW07 7" In-wall touch screen unit. The new unit is IP-enabled and features a bright LED-backlit LCD display for better clarity and longer life. Installers will be pleased to learn that the HST-IW07 supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for easy "1-cable" installation. In addition, the chassis is less than 2" deep and includes quick twist mounting wings and a magnetically-attached (and paintable) front bezel. I am a long time Homeseer user and love there products, but this product, in my opinion, is way to expensive for a 7" screen, especially in this economy. I wonder what the non introductory price is going to be?

I believe it would be $100 more. I don't understand why they are so expensive either, but the pricing seems to match the Elk TS07 screens.

Well, they do have the $200 value HSTouch pre-installed so that may make up some of the difference, but yea its pretty expensive for what it is (specs, etc). OTOH they have another 7" model that is not wall mountable for $599 with HSTouch also that seems like a better deal (assuming you don't need wall mount).
