Hello all, First time poster. Hoping for some help.
I am in the process of doing some lighting automation on a heavy remodel. 20ish control circuits all pulled back to a central location.
Was looking for something hardwired so settled on Loxone after some looking around.
Needed a recessed DIN panel so bought one from an industrial salvage place just to find out it was a Lutron panel with a bunch of modules already in it.
I did some research and found out that I could do everything that I need to do with what I have and a Processor / Interface.
I have located a QS processor and the needed parts (but have yet to buy them)
The only thing holding me up is the programming software.
It is my understand that HomeWorks QS software is restricted to licensed dealers only.
Is that true? If so are there any other way's I can get my hands on it?
I'm far beyond your average DIY'r and have experience developing control system programming. (plus 10yrs experience in high-voltage electric)
I've gone through the Homeworks QS documentation and I like the system, It would suit what I am trying to do very well.
But none of this helps me if I have to pay someone 1000$ to program/"commission" the system and every-time I want to make a change.
If there isn't a way to make this work, anyone have anything else I should consider alongside Loxone?
Thanks for helping a first-timer out!
Karl P
