How to program hai and jetstream

Hello All!
I finally have my Jetstream switches installed, but cannot interface them with my Omni Pro II.
Here is what I have done so far:

Serial cable from Omni to Centralite RS232 bridge
Baud rate set to 9600

How do I program the Omni to take commands from Centralite?

The documentation on Centralite's site is outdated and makes no reference to PC Access.

Thanks!

First question: Did you set the serial port type on the Omni to "Centralite" (type 9)? In PC Access, all of the serial port settings (including the serial ports in the base unit) are under "Expansion" in the Setup tab. Also, don't forget to write the setup back to the controller after you change it.

Hello,
Yes, I am linking to the rs232 bridge with serial port 4 on the omni which is set to Centralite and the controller has been updated.

I wonder if that's one of those settings that doesn't take effect until the system is reset. Try completely removing power from the Omni (AC and battery).

How old is the JetStream RS-232 bridge you are using?

The bridge is one month old.

I guess I am confused on the order of programming that must take place.
From what I gather you program your scenes in the JetStream software and then send them "Third Party".

You should not have to write to the controller from PC Access because you are directly connected via serial from the RS-232 bridge.

Do the scenes you wrote in the JetStream software propagate the scenes tab in PC Access and do the devices, switches, do the same?

That bridge should be fine. Nothing is exchanged between the two softwares. Once you get the JetStream up and running, you then have to go in and name your devices in the Omni. Also, what cable set are you using between the two?

I was under the impression that I names the devices in the JetStream software.
Do I name them in both places-PC Access and JetStream?

I am using a serial cable that goes from the RS-232 to port 4 on the Omni.

Is there a manual out there explaining setup from PC Access?

Thanks

You have to name them in both. The reason I am asking about the serial cable is that there are several. You want the adapter/cable combo that is p/n 36A05-4. The p/n on the adapter is 36A05-3.

Thanks for all of the input. I am using the 36A05-3 to link up everything and after naming the units in both Centralite and PC Access everything is now working. I did not have power down everything in order for the commands to take hold just had to write back to the controller.

Thanks Again!
