HTPC: Disable AGP slot in software

I have a new Shuttle XPC (well, it's new to me). It has onboard VGA as well as DVI out from an AGP card.

The onboard integrated video is fine except for games, but the AGP card is way too noisy for anything BUT games. Because it is a shuttle, there is no room for a quieter cooler on the AGP card.

So, is there a way I can have the AGP card powered down except when I want to use it? Or do I have to yank the AGP card every time I want it to be quiet?

Thanks,
Brian

I don't think disabling AGP will remove power from the AGP slot. Do you have a specific make/model? I'm sure someone has come up with an improvement by now.

Thanks all, I ended up digging out an Geforce 2 MX I have. No fan on that, and better video than the onboard.
