Inconspicuous IP camera

Has anyone come across a good inconspicuous ip camera that I can wall or ceiling mount in our house. I want the ability to check our house when out of town. I prefer color and night vision, although if not possible I could remotely turn on the lights. Thus far, ip cameras with good specs are large and ones with small pinhole camera have poor specs.

Thanks,
Scott

Doesn't exist.

I can make you an analog one and use baluns then you put a streamer at the swicth or wherever your Cat5 terminates. However for truely covert you'll wanna use BW, especially if you want seom lowlight perforance too.

Ouch! That Axis unit is $500.

My solution was an analog camera connected to a USB video-input dongle connected to my server running web cam software.

Any comments on the OnQ Legrand bullet cameras?

I'm using the Leviton cameras, which are similar to the OnQ ones. They have a pretty decent picture, and were the only ones my wife "approved" for going on the outside of the house. I actually painted the housings the same color as teh house, and they blend in pretty well.

Are you using the indoor camera of theirs? Leviton Indoor Camera

I was wondering how well that worked compared to a bullet camera.. Also how "aimable" it was.

Yep, I have one of them in the garage, and it works pretty well. It is fairly aimable, by simply just bending the mounting face (it's meant to do this). You don't notice the camera, as it is mounted behind a plexi cover. The lens is pretty wide angle too. I have one of these mounted in a tw car garage, in the upper rear corner of the garage (facing the rollup door). It covers the entire rollup door, and about 2 feet on either side. Because of its wide angle, it is better suited for monitoring than for security, but I am happy with it.
