Insteon Wireless Lighting Starter Kit at Home Depot

I was going through Home Depot this past weekend and noticed that one of my local stores (Lindbergh Station in Atlanta) had a pretty good shelf of these on clearance:
SmartHome Insteon Wireless Lighting Starter Kit

$25 a piece. At a different Home Depot I was able to find in-wall dimmers for $7.00 a piece as well, and the 5 button remotes for $7.

I have never seen any Insteon stuff in any Home Depots In NY... Has anyone else?

I have bought from HD many times online (through other peoples business accounts to get better prices). The problem is that HD will not assist with the warranty (at least not anymore) and SH refuses to honor the warranty without an order number. For $25 its worth it. At full price I would say no.

Maybe they are selling off stock in Atlanta since their headquarters is not far away from there. It may also be a sign they are dropping SH products but I am not saying that is a fact. My friend at HD had contacted an electrical buyer for HD a few months ago about the warranty problem and the buyer stated that SH was getting impossible to deal with (boy can I beleive that).

Maybe you want to buy out the stock and sell them here LOL. Or on Ebay.

They were near the data/com section in the one store. In another, where I found the in wall switches, they were on a clearance end cap tossed in with a bunch of other stuff.

I have never seen any in the Home Depots in Philadelphia area. However, I did pick up a couple of appliance modules at Lowes that were on clearance. I think I paid $30 a piece not nearly as good as the Home Depot clearance. As a matter of fact, I couldn't even tell you if that was any bit of savings from the norm.

At $25 for that kit and $7 for a switch HD is taking a beating. I guess SH would not take them back. It really gives the impression that HD may be shying away from SH but I could be wrong.

Its funny since it seemed that SH was drop shipping for HD for some of the orders so I didnt think that HD had that many in stock if any.
