Insurance Certificate

In order for me to take advantage of my Homeseer/X10 security system, my insurance company requires a "installation certificate". Is there such a thing as a "standard" alarm certificate or security certificate, used by people like me, that installed the system themselves?

Monitoring services generally supply the certificate. I know that NextAlarm supplies them.

yeh, the certificate typically doesn't mean "I got a system", but rather "I got a legit system that someone external to the house is monitoring".

I'm an insurance agent and there are two types of discounts: one for local alarms; the other for monitored alarms. Most companies take the word of the insured for local alarms (the discount is much smaller) but require a certificate or copy of contract from the monitoring company.
