Intercom stations placement

I've been debating putting an intercom station in my master bathroom and would like to hear the varied opinions of CT'ers on this topic.

If I do decide to put one here, I'm unsure whether it would be better to put it by the vanity or by the throne

Do you want to be bothered while in the bathroom. If so then it would seem you would want it near the potty so you could use it if need be. It would be frustrating to not be able to respond while sitting.

Off course I do no want to be bothered while in the bathroom, but that doesn't seem to matter much to my wife If needed, I could always turn the volume down/off too.
