interfacing serial ELK

What's the cheapest software solution to interface with the ELK panel (besides ELK-RP) I want something I can control via a web interface. I don't want to purchase the ethernet adapter.

Are you wanting to control the M1 locally through a PC's serial port or remotely through the Internet?

locally through the serial port - then accessing that computer either via VNC or a web-interfaced on that computer.
