Haiku Light status wrong when dimming to 0%

In Haiku when I drag the dimmer level all the left, the light status still shows as ON. If I close and reopen Haiku it will then update to show the light as off. If I watch PC Access it will show light level 0% then a second later it will report off.

Since you can turn the light on by just sliding the dimmer to the right, it makes sense sliding to the left would correctly update the status to off.

This is unfortunately the way the controller works -- it sends an "on at 0%" value instead of an off value when the change is first made. Later when the information is refreshed it does send an off value. That's why you are seeing this inconsistency. We can work around it, but then there is another issue -- lights that are non-dimmable will *not* turn off this way, even though the controller will "lie" that they are off. So I think the best choice is to leave it "on" at 0%, that way at least users will not accidentally leave non-dimmable lights on.

Update: we will add the workaround which will work to match the state of the controller. We've also added a request for status update when the level is set to 0% via Haiku. This way if the unit did not really turn off, the controller will get the new state of ON and update Haiku as well.

I have an HAI HLC switch set as non dimming. When I move the slider in Haiku the PC Access reflects the dimming level set and the light doesn't dim. Moving the slider to 0%, the light stays on, and PC Access shows it as off. With Haiku matching the controller then at least all interfaces will reflect the same state.

Sending the status request when the slider is moved the 0% sounds like a great workaround to grab the correct status for non dimming switches. Not only will this fix it in Haiku, but PC Access should also show the correct status.
