Liquid Cooled LED Lamps

These look interesting, if the price and release date (4th quarter) holds. An unfrosted version would probably sell well as an object of "techie art" :-)

BTW, I noticed the link you posted included your personal RR address, I removed it to avoid a massive spam attack ;) If you really do want it in there, I apologize.

That said, that's a very interesting product, let's hope it will be affordable.

How did you get the impression that these are liquid cooled?

I'm pretty sure that they just use heat-sinks, but I could be wrong.

Nice looking light-bulbs, though, all the same.

Thanks for taking my RR address out, more SPAM I don't need!

Switch Lighting mentions a $20.00 price point, of course pricing and release date are like when a company says something like "later this year", I always would like to ask them "just what year are we talkin'"...:).

Try this Link from LED's Magazine that discusses the liquid cooling (plus of course a product video...). There's a similar bulb out there already (Hydro 4 or something to that effect...), that says they are using a Paraffin Oil of some type for their cooling fluid.

Very cool. (no pun intended har har)
Shame we have to wait so long before we can get our hands on some.
