Logitech 890 with Elk-M1 Z-Wave.

I have an ELK-M1G with all hardwired security inputs. There is also an Ethernet interface, a Two-Way Interface and Relay Output boards. For my home theater system I am thinking of getting the Logitech Harmony 890 remote with Z-Wave capability. I know I would have to get the ELK-M1XZW in order to enable the Elk on Z-Wave. I understand that the Elk would not send zone status updates to the remote. I want to use the Logitech to send commands to the Elk. Such as, Whenever 1111 is received from Z-Wave, Then activate Output #17 for 1 second. My question is this....Will I need an additional "master" Z-Wave controller? I have searched forums and websites and Elk states a requirement for a seperate master Z-Wave controller. Will I need something else or will the Logitech send commands directly to the Elk-M1G?

correct me if i am wrong but you are going to have a real hard time copying network information to/from a harmony 890 since it doesn't support that function. the 890pro does and only to other 890's in my experience. harmony bastardized their implementation of z-wave IMO. until they straighten it out the 890's live in their own little z-wave world.

also, there can only be 1 master remote for a network. there have been some work arounds to shift remotes/software back and forth between primary and secondary but in the end there is only 1 master remote for a network.
