I'm sure that will follow if the demand is there. I like the fact that with Logitech you can have the LCD remote AND the local player displays which I see as a huge advatage over SONOS. Hopefully more details will be revealed during CES.
I'm a fan of Logitech. They (usually) have really nice, solid hardware that works consistently (*cough* Insteon).
I've been using their older Music Anywhere stuff for the past year or so. I got a nice deal on a bunch of them thru Woot. Those things transmit PC audio very well, wirelessly to all of the receivers I have around the house. Sound quality is excellent, especially when transmitting free XM radio streamed thru the Net.
I still can't believe that no one has hacked the Music Anywhere and expanded it more. (Allow multiple receivers to be transmitted to at the same time, etc)
This is nice to see. I use the Sonos system as well, at least in my case, a poor mans sonos system. I just bought two of the less expensive units without the hand held remote and use our computers to control it. Sonos did not have much to worry about price wise as their was nothing equivalent. It will be nice to put some pressure on them.
They list support for Slacker (very nice! Sonos does not have) and Pandora (a must have), it will be interesting if the integration is as seamless as Sonos.
Yes, the remote is a little large, but it's also a full blown linux computer stuffed into that little case which is open to for all developers to tweak until their blue in the face. You can SSH into this device and add your own applications if you like.
