Looking for a primary way to connect to a CS...

I have installed the Elk M1G and the M1XEP. I'm now looking for a way to utilize a CS. I do not have a land line. I currently use Verizon for cell service as others (including AT&T are not reliable here).

Does the Uplink 2500 use Verizon?

How much is Alarm Relay using an Uplink 2500 as the primary and no backup?

Would I need additional hardware to use the Uplink 2500?

Which version of the Uplink 2500 would I need to buy?

You would need a power supply for the Uplink capable of at least 2A or larger as well as a battery for it. In addition, you'll need an XSP to connect to the Uplink.

Does the uplink use Verizon?

I'm fairly certain that the Uplink is GSM based, which means AT&T and T-Mobile; Verizon utilizes CDMA. Here's a decent article that I just found via Google. That said, also check out the thread I started a few days ago regarding network monitoring:

Uplink is GSM, ATT.
