Looking for Help: Life after ControlThink

Hi All,

I have a very simple installation of about 60 ZWave devices that are controlled by the defunct ControlThink product. I am looking for options to which I can migrate as while my demands are few, the system is increasingly brittle and zero software support is a problem. Also, a few additional software features would be appreciated.

In addition, I use the system together with Leviton VRC0P interfaces which extends control via RS-232 to my Philips Pronto and a Global Cache device.

ANY thoughts would be welcome.

I would look at the Mi Casa Verde Vera controller, or Homeseer, which offers some nice Z-Wave hardware/software management tools (such as the Z-Troller).

Is there any general guidance as to which system is more stable?

HomeSeer is a PC based solution, while the Vera is an appliance (similar to the common Wi-Fi routers). So if you want extreme flexibility, try out HomeSeer (30 day trial). The Vera controller is a nice piece of hardware, and probably provides the best bang for the buck if all you want is Z-Wave automation.
