The M1KPAS connects to the M1's data bus, just like a regular keypad. The M1DBH instructions show how to connect the cat5.
+V: Red to Brown (or Brown/White) NEG: Black to White/Brown Data A: Green to Orange & Green (or Orange/White & Green/White) Data B: White to White/Orange & White/Green
Thanks for the response, just trying to confirm the wiring. I have been having problems enrolling the M1KPAS. No problems with the 4 other M1KP2's on the system.
Got it, I was thinking of the M1 end of the data bus.
You can do a test for proper wiring by shutting the system down and testing the resistance between data A and data B of the rs485 at the m1 control board. It should be 65 ohms +- 10 ohms. If it is outside that range you can look for wiring or termination problems.
