I have the ELK-M1DBH connected to the data bus on the M1 gold board and a elk-M1KPNAV connected to the M1DBH via a RJ 45 jack, is it okay to connect the M1XRF2H V3 to the M1DBH or it’s better connected directly to the data bus on the m1 board?, thanks in advance for all the help.
You connect it either way. It doesn't make any difference from an operational point of view, though it will change how things have to be terminated. The data bus can only have at most two branches. The DBH forms one of them. If you connect the XRF2H to the M1, that will be the second branch. So you would install a termination jumper on the XRF2H and remove the jumper from the M1.
On the M1XRF2H v2, you need to connect a 120 ohm resistor across the Data A and Data B terminals as the termination.
No problem. I missed that you said you had the v2 and am used to terminating with the jumper like the original version had.
