M1KPNAV - Hide Unused Tasks/Lights/Outputs etc.

Both the Elk2Go software and eKeypad only show Tasks/Lights/Outputs etc. that are selected as "Show" in ElkRP.

The M1KPNAV seems to show everything and just greys out items that aren't selected as "Show". I use Zwave and have a number of NodeIDs for lights that are not contiguous and I also have tasks which are not in sequential order. Because of that I need to scroll to the page where the item I want is located. In Elk2Go and eKeypad only the items I want to show up do which is how I think the M1KPNAV would work as well.

I have checked everything I can think of - is there a setting I am missing? Has anyone suggested this change to Elk for a future firmware release?

An early Christmas present has arrived - Elk has posted this firmware update on their website. I'm excited to try it sometime over the next few days!

NICE! Ok, I can break the ice now...I've been testing this new firmware for about a year now on my Navigator and it's working perfectly. You can hide the unused inputs which was a very needed function ability upgrade!

NOTE: This does take a few minutes to flash (can't remember the exact time as it has been a while).

Also, I really like the idle display status and its dim feature as well.

This is a very good update for this device!

So...You're holding out on us, Huh??? ;)

LOL, no, they just wanted to make sure everything worked out well before releasing.

This is a good idea, as I've seen a few very ugly examples of where updates were announced and they were not met by other products. (Unfortunately, forums can be very cruel to software manufacturers at times, which can cause a lot of unnecessary negativity ;)).

Been there, seen it, and sometimes participated in it, at times. I completely understand.

I'll try this update tomorrow.

I did the update and I agree it is a big improvement. It is still too bad that Elk doesn't give you the option of accessing the automation menu options when the system is armed though. I don't have any tasks that disarm my system so to disarm it just to turn a light off is probably more risky security wise as the system then does the countdown timer before it is rearmed.

It would also be nice if the system gave you the option of returning to the home screen faster than the default.

Lastly, the main interface of the kpnav is pretty attractive, the new home screen isn't nearly as nice but it is functional. It is really nice though to not need to scroll through all tasks, outputs lights etc!
