M1XEP and ELK-RP

Since both are using RS232 port, do I need to unplug M1XEP every time I want to connect a laptop with ELKRP, or am I missing something? Thanks

No as long as everything in Elk RP is properly configured and the firmware matches the panel you should be to connect to your Elk via Internet
