M1XSP RS-232 RS-485

Does anyone have experience trying to run both RS-232 an RS-485 communications on the same M1XSP. Makes sense due to the fact it's advertised as a "3 in 1" that I could run both a uplink and RCS TR40 on the same M1XSP. However based on JP2 selecting between the two protocols guessing not but thought I would verify before I plunk down another $85.

No you can't, like you said you have to run it in one mode.
