Master Hub advice

Hi everyone.
I have just powered up my master hub for the first time and would appreciate some advice.
Using the Onewire viewer application with COM port 1 the hub shows all 3 DS2409 devices and merrily polls all 3.
If I connect the Hobby boards Temp, humidity board nothing happens.
No extra devices are found and there is no DQ activity from the board.

What is supposed to happen and what do the 3 LEDS on the hub show.
Is there an idiots guide to get the Master hub to be recognised by Weather Display as that does not work either.
Regards Snoopy

Don't have for more than a quick response but you need to enable the main or aux branch of the DS2409 that you have the devices connected to. I don't have the OneWireViewer with me but you need to click on one of the DS2409s on the left side then click on the tab named "switch" (I think) you can then toggle the main or aux branches on and off.

Sorry for the short response. I can give you more details when I get back from vacation.

Eric

Thank you for the advice, I have everything working fine now.
The problem was the complexity of Weather Display, so many boxes to tick.
I have to say that I am amazed how well the hub and temp/humidity boards work.
I have binned the duff Oregon WM918 outside unit that kept on packing up.

I wiil have to order some more parts when Hobby Boards return from holidays.
Thanks from Snoopy

Eric, If you don't mind I would like to ask a follow-up to Snoopy's question regarding the 4 Leds on the Master Hub. The power led comes on when power is supplied, but when do the other Leds come on?

Thanks
Gary

Hi,
In answer to your question about the LEDS.
On my Hub one or more LEDS flash in response to Weather display.
I have a cable connected to Main 1 and its LED flashes 6 short times with 1 long flash while the sensors are being read.
sometimes the LEDs flash in a different sequence i:e, 3 short 1 long. Don't know why.
Nothing happens on the hub until Weather Display has been initialised,
This is what mine is showing at the moment,

I have found that every time WD starts I have to open the 1 wire page and do a Save/reset to make the hub work.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Snoopy. Now that I have the drivers installed, I can see the channel LEDs light briefly when they are being polled. I have all my sensors on Channel 1 Main & Aux and that LED does indeed stay on much longer. Like you say, when the sensors are being read.
