Mechanical 120V switch

Three of the timers are controlling Fan/Light/Heater combo's.  It's been a long time, but I'm guessing they're ~1700W.

As a side note - how did your mechanical timer fail?  Resistance heaters are normally rather relay contact "friendly".  They don't arc/weld the contacts like inductive or incandescent loads.

Is it possible that the mechanical timer mechanism died?

IndyMike - thanks for the input.

The failure was in the "timer" part of the switch - it simply stopped ticking down. It still works, I have not been using it because fails like that spook me.
