Missing Movies

Hello World!,
So I am using Sage and Windows Home Server. Life was good and dandy until I wanted to watch a movie I thought I had. It wasn't there. What?! Well because I only thought I had it that made sense. Perhaps I didn't really have it. Today same situation. Except I know I had the movie. Gone off Sage. Check WHS and the video and folder are intact. Now I am doubting the first movie physically being gone off the server. The folder is gone completely off WHS. I know I have burned that movie at least twice before (Better Off Dead. Which I feel like cause just when the WAP was going up this monstrosity occurs). I always had a sneaking suspicion about this going on. Can anyone else verify? Big brother deleteing your files?

No.

There are two types of computer installs: residential [home] and commercial/business installs. Whereas... there really should have never been a difference... most home installs are often risky user/administrator installs. So the user.. would login and run (full time) as the administrator. Many recent updates made this sort of configuration unexceptable.... or maybe the term is UNUSABLE.

Try logging on as administrator.... and if you don't see the missing files there... search all users for your missing movies.

Been running SageTV on WHS for 18 months now, have never seen this. For performance reasons I have a separate drive for the SageTV recordings that is not part of the WHS 81.tb drive array I have for recordings. Movies or TV shows that are recorded by SageTV that we want to keep I manually move to their respective folders in the default shared WHS Videos share. E.G. \\WHS\Videos\Movies or \\WHS\VIdeos\TV Shows. I do this to make title browsing easier.

You sure you don't have a "delete after watched" setting set? I have a vague memory that this is an option but can't remember for certain.
