I just saw this article and remembered this thread. It seems in the future we may not have to worry about loud TV commercials.

Looks nice but is there anything like this available for optical in/outputs? I run optical lines out of my cable box and out of my media PC to the stereo. Price will probably be crazy but worth asking.
