When my parts closet gets too empty, I arrange for a 'hiccup'. The wife's addicted, so I say "ok, i'm going to have to purchase <XX> in order to get this resolved. No worries, I can have it fedex'ed here and we'll be back in business in a few days".

Man, this stuff is golden; i need to write a book on succesful spousal relationships

I'm not sure what my wife would do without the automated lights. "I left the basement lights on again, can you turn them off for me?" and the thought of having the all off button next to the bed, or the more important ALL ON button just incase she hears a noise while Im not at home she can light this place up with one button press. She is not as excited as I am about using a touch screen but we'll see....

Oh, i'm sure it's just like when we were dating. She didn't actually think my jokes were funny, but laughed anyway because she felt sorry for me.
