NDVR questions

Good to see HAI in the forum!!!!
I understand the NDVR can receive triggers from the OPII to record. Question is, is the opposite also true? Can the DVR, after the cameras detect motion, send the OPII a trigger to perform an action (such as announcing motion outside)?
Also, is sending a snapshot via e-mail in the works at all?

Yes.

The NDVR has the ability to detect motion and trigger a set of contacts based on that motion. These contact can be connected to a zone on the Omni (or Lumina) and you can create programming to do whatever you want.

I use this feature to monitor a door. I just went into the NDVR setup for the camera that is facing the door. I drew a motion detect rectangle around the door and told it to close contact #1 when ever motion is detected. Now when ever here is any motion at the door, whether it is open or closed, the motion is recorded and I am notified.

The other neat thing is that unlike some other DVR solutions, the NDVR is continuously recording to a loop buffer, so you can do things like, when motion is detected, start recording from 30 seconds BEFORE the motion occurred. This ability to go back in time is very useful.

The NDVR can send text emails when different events occur, but it has no ability to attach an actual image to the email. There are currently no plans to add this capability.
