I know I told someone here that I wanted to aquire and train a small dog to do exactly that. I figured any dog that was originally bred to kill rats during the plauge times would be ideal! Just teach them to find the glowrods, pull the wire from it and return to the attic/crawlspace access.

I don't suggest running you cabling through the AC ducting either. :lol

My son and I have used his Yorkie (Yorkshire terrier) to run wire from the attic through a small enclosed roof section over a porch and into the garage. Owen (the dog) seems to like attics and running through small spaces and is happy to trail a small wire or pull string. I believe that this breed was used in WWI to pull wire...

Wow this guy has too much free time. My grandma could have reached in that duct and thrown the wire to the other side.

Now if he had created a robot that could sense the shape and smell of a beer can that would be another story.
