Network HD PVR...

Quick question... does anyone know a way to check to see how channels are marked (e.g. copy-freely vs. protected copy-once) without getting all of this setup first?

Bah humbug!!! I went ahead and ordered a HD Prime last week - it arrived on Monday. I went to Comcast yesterday and got a CableCard. After waiting on hold for about 45 minutes [today] to get to a representative who could activate the card, and getting SageDCT installed... I've found that the MAJORITY of the channels that I was looking for are marked 'Copy Protected' No Discovery, USA, ESPN...

So, back to my original thought... a networked HD-PVR sure would be nice

Time to punt: return the CableCard, attempt to return the HD Prime, and get a couple of cable boxes to pair with my HD PVRs...
