New Install Help Entire System

I'm looking for some feedback on a new install. This is going into a new home (3000 sq ft).

System is an ELK M1 Gold

28 window/door contacts
10 DSC BV-500GB (Motion W/Glass Break)
6 System Sensor heat detectors (one Zone)
6 System Sensor 4WTA-B Smokes (one Zone) with RSS-Mod
1 M1XSP
1 M1ZTS
1 MDBH
1 M1XEP
4 M1XIN
1 HAI C3 Cell back up
3 ELK 73 siren/speakers
2 TS071 keypads
1 M1KPNAV keypad
1 M1KPAS arming station

I want battery backup for the TS071 keypads. I am leaning towards the P412 4 amp power supply to ensure I have enough power for all the accessories. I will eventually intergrate the sprinklers, and home lightiing. Any sugestions towards the power supply recommendations? I thought about going with POE for the TS071's but it won't supply power when the AC goes out.

Thanks!
Mark

Looks like you are going all out. Not sure what you intend to use the M1XSP for? But it's nice to have one.

As far as power goes, I have a P412 but I use it to power my M1XEP, a router, DSL modem. Not sure how much the TS071's draw, you'll have to get a battery of suitable size. Not sure I follow your logic about POE. You obviously need to also power whatever network equipment (switches/router) the TS071's use to connect to your network and the M1XEP as well, if you want them to work in a power outage, which could be done on a P412 IF they are all 12v. Since you have to do that anyway, maybe just getting a POE switch and putting that on it's own UPS would be an alternative. Again it all comes down to how much the total draw of all that adds up to (network equipment, TS071's, M1XEP) that it isn't over 4 amps and how long you want the battery to last.

Just make sure you leave room in your enclosure(s) for whatever expansion you need, M1XOVRs for sprinker, M1XSP's for lighting or HVAC. Actually an M1XOVR is nice to have in general, you might want to throw one of those in, you have minimal outputs on the M1 itself for things like garage doors, etc.

Oh yeah, one thing I don't like about the P412 is it doesn't monitor the battery, so you can't verify it's health. What I do is swap my P412 battery when my main one goes bad. I kind of like the p212S better as it is managed (not 4 amps though), but I don't have one so I can speak for how it all works.

Thanks for the reply! I've decided to go with the P412. I'd rather have the extra amperage, and battery back-up. I'm initally going to get the burglary/fire gear installed. I will follow-up with the two seperate HVAC systems and the sprinklers. Eventually I'm going to control the lighting/audio as well.
