When I moved into my current home in 2008, it had some similiar Radionics piece of crap that was working but no longer monitored and we didn't have the code for it or the tools to program it. I replaced it with an Elk M1-Gold. I used all the existing zone contact wiring. For the keypad, I tied a new cat5 cable to the old keypad cable and pulled up the new cable by pulling out the old keypad cable. Easy as pie. I did this in April 2010 and my family has been very happy with the alarm. I don't have it monitored, but I do have it setup to email and call me when it goes off. This alarm can be easily monitored for $8.95 a month.
