New to HTPC

I am new to HTPC and HT in general. I am designing a new home theater for my new house and am looking for suggestions on either websites or books that would be good to give a basic working understanding of what is needed and how to go about setting up a room and the components in the room.

avsforum.com has a positively massive HTPC forum. I'd advise going there and reading every single thread for the past month. Then come here and read through all the posts here. That'll give you a good handle on what the whole thing is, where it's useful, and where it's not.
