No Email Notification

I have been having this issue for a long time now. I have it setup to send me an email anytime a new topic is posted to the Hobby Boards section but it is hit and miss as to whether I get an email. Same goes for topics that I have subscribed to.

Any ideas?

Can you confirm that you have selected "Immediate notification"? By default, it doesn't select this method. Do you get notified when you get PM (assuming you have it enabled)? Last but not least, did you get a notification for this thread?

I do have Immediate Notification enabled and I sometimes get notifications and sometimes don't and no I didn't get a notification for this thread.

I sent you a message directly from the command line, from the CT server, and I didn't get any errors. Do you have another e-mail address (on a different host) you can try, in order to find out if it's an issue with the host, or your CT account? Thanks!

Actually, mine is never worked either even if I enable instant notification.

I didn't get any message you may have sent me. I can try a different email address and see if that might be the problem but I doubt it. I don't have any kind of spam filtering turned on or anything like that. Plus I did get a couple of notifications of new threads posted to my forum but nothing from this thread.

You should have gotten that message. It was sent using a telnet session, meaning I saw every single server response. Your mail server told me it accepted the e-mail and everything was ok.

I did get the confirmation link but I still didn't get any notification for this thread.

I have never received email notification on threads I have checked the "Enable email notification of replies"?. I have checked in my settings that I have the correct email address set. I have always had to log in and check the thread. I used a [email protected] email addy.

Wonder if Eric ever sorted his issue out?

The following setting was disabled, which could cause this kind of behavior:

Watch every topic I reply to
If enabled, choose default notification type:

I changed it to 'Immediate', hopefully you are all set now.
