Yeah.  Having a little light I can understand but I haven't had a problem with falling in the toilet!!  And putting the light IN the toilet...  I'll pass.

Still using the EL lighting in the bathrooms here.  They are not in the toilet bowel.  Well then too I do not get up nor have to pee in the middle of the night.
 
Though the issues of aiming become difficult with old age. 
 
The aiming thing can be considered a physiological issue relating to the shriveling up of an appendage which a guidance LED wouldn't help at all.
 
Personally here wouldn't have any interest in an LED illuminated toilet bowl and that written, wife thought it would be a good idea. (that whole toilet seat up thing).
 
Well too the deluxe bathroom has an a la carte toilet bowel, urinal and a bidet or sometimes separate toilet rooms for each gender.
