NX-650 Battery good in cold weather?

I am looking to install a NX-650 in my garage which is not attached. Does anyone have any experience with the batteries used in the NX-650 in cold temps (down towards zero at times).

Also I saw something about monitoring the signal strength for the wireless sensors. Is this available on the M1EZ8 model and if so how?

I have a NX-650 on my garage door with no problems. I never worried about the signal strength since all of my devices are within 30 feet of the receiver.

If your garage is within line of sight of the receiver I seriously doubt you will have any concerns as open air transmissions can go for hundreds of feet easily in most cases.

Well we hit a record low of -13F last night and it looks like the NX-650 made it fine in an unheated detached garage. Its been super cold the past couple days. It will remain super cold for a couple more so we shall see. If it survives this then I would have to say I am impressed. The DS10 would have died a long time ago

I installed a several of these in a client's home in Breckenridge and a few have been very cold for the last year and have performed just fine.
