NX-695 Water Sensor

Use Zone Type 16 Non Alarm for the water sensor, or, use a normal water zone type and set the alarm output for water to zero and only the keypads will beep, voice announcement (if set) and reporting will occur.

I forget what the option settings are.

I would also test this a few times before you install as it is much easier to test dipping the contact into water.

How do you set the alarm output for a water zone type to zero from ElkRP? Is that the same as checking the "silent alarm" checkbox on the input zone screen?

My NX-695 is sensitive enough that putting my thumb across both water contacts causes an alarm.

Each type of an alarm has a cutoff timer for the siren. Water is cutoff timer #10. Default is 600 seconds. I just set it to 0 since I dont want anyone to evacuate or get scared in the middle of the night for a water leak. Beeping the keypads wakes someone up and it also reports so Nextalarm calls and I also get a text to my cellphone etc. Since I use a water valve the water is also shutoff.

Something I still keep putting off is a sensor in the laundry sink in case it overflows. I want to shut off the washing machine that discharges into it. I did it at someone elses house but not mine yet. I put the water sensor about 2 inches from the top and used a UPB Appliance module to shut off the washer.
