The UK and Canada have universal health care systems - most people get the same treatment (unless you pay extra).
I expect the US system to change to something 'more' universal, but I doubt it will be as universal as the UK or Canada.
I theorize that there will be a minimum of 'free' healthcare - the basic stuff for everyone. The insurance companies' government lobbyists are extraordinarily powerful, and won't allow sweeping universal healthcare to happen.
Healthcare is the US's biggest industry, BTW.
