Omni Pro II and android 5.1.1

Hi,

I'm having a very weird problem since switching to Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which runs android 5.1.1

It seems like I can't connect to my omni pro, when I'm on wifi. It doesn't matter if it's my home's local wifi, or any other wifi.

When in cellular data mode (3g or 4g), it connect perfectly. So I have to turn off the phone's WiFi, whenever I want to control the system...

When I'm on WiFi, using other devices like iPhone, iPad, LG G3/G4, or Huawei M8, everything works well, So my guess is, there is some issue between omnipro and android 5.1.1 (the note 5 is the only one with this android version).

Problem occurs using both Snaplink or Superlink.

Thanks for your ideas....

Many routers do not recognize WAN IP addresses when you are on the LAN.  In other words, if your OUTSIDE IP address is 123.123.123.123  and the router inside your house sees it, this doesn't mean you will be routed back into your house as if you were outside your house.  Instead you will have to use your inside IP address of your panel, like 192.168.1.100  for example.  If you run a DNS in your house there are some tricks you can do to make this work. Also, some routers have a way of turning this feature on.  But not knowing your tech level or your home network environment, the easiest solution is set up a second location for LAN use using your panel's INSIDE IP address.  You can find this on a console with Setup (9), Misc (6), and scroll to IP address.

Ano, Thanks for your reply.

The thing is, that using all other devices, it work great. Just not with Samsung galaxy note 5. So I guess it's not the router.

Furthermore, if I try to connect from my home WiFi, using the internal IP (192.168...) it's also unsuccessful. Again, the problem happens only with Samsung Note 5, which uses android 5.1.1

Currently struggling with the same thing on my new Note 5. Driving me crazy. And I connect from my Nexus 9 which is running the latest Android build.

jmanderson10,

Please update if you manage to solve it somehow, it is so frustrating.

I hope Leviton will release an update soon, as more devices will get the 5.1.1 android version.

So glad im not the only one pulling my air out!
I had a LG G3 before my Samsung Note 5, and I had no issues.  My wifes Samsung Note 4 has no issues either!
Something is very different with the Note 5....

I cant connect with Snaplink or Superlink (both HAI apps).

Hope someone has a resolve!
Cheers,
Jared
