Omni ProII Output configuration for Siren Driver (Elk-110)

Since the OmniProII outputs don`t have enough amps for the Elk-110 siren driver, I am connecting a 12V 2 Amp power supply to the Elk, and am connecting the (negative) to the Neutral on Output 1 of the Omni. I am also connecting the (Burglar) trigger wire from the ELK to Output 1 (+12V) on the Omni.
In the Omni Dealer Software, I am looking for the "Sounder Triggering" setting for the output as stated in the Installation manual on page 16, but it does not exist. Is there a different setting I can use ?
I tried a few, but keep getting the "Output Fault (D26 LED)" warning, stating a overload condition. This should mean that the Omni is still trying to provide more than its maximum 100mA to the ELK.

Thanks for any help.

Christian,

The output setting types can be found in the PC Access 3 software under "Outputs" in the Setup tab. Change the "Unit Type" to the desired type.

Although I am not very familiar with the Elk-110 siren driver, I know it can be powered from a separate power supply like you have done. Make sure the negative from the power supply and the the negative terminal from the Elk-110 are both connected to GND on the OmniPro II. If you're missing one of these grounds the OmniPro II's output could still be trying to drive the Elk-110 at full power, thus tripping the output fault.
