OmniPro II - Wiring In Smoke Detector

Neither your reply, nor your edit answer any of my inquiries.  The information you provide and your opinion about how to use the OPII are not helpful.

Indeed, the devices I am referring to are technically called "Smoke Alarms".  They are intended to detect the presence of smoke, and alarm to alert the occupants to the presence of that smoke.  They are also inter-connected and signal each other in the event that they detect the condition they are designed to detect, which is the presence of smoke.  They are, primarily, powered by 120V feed, but have individual battery back-up which facilitates full function in the absence of 120V power.  I am interested in the technical aspects of how they signal each other, and if I can use that signal to further signal myself, or potentially others, to any alarm condition via the OPII.

The intent of the OPII manufacturer is not really relevant to the questions asked.  Whether or not I actually connect my panel in the way described will, of course, be up to me.  Folks choose OPII because of the flexibility and programmability built in to allow creative and unique solutions.  Clearly, based on other forum posts, others have successfully done what I am inquiring about.

It would be best to spend your time and that of everyone else reading by actually answering the questions posed.

So, anyone willing to answer the posted questions?
