Omnistat Not Responding to Remote Commands

Hoping you guys can help me out or point me in right direction.

I have 5 Omnistats in my house, all wired to an Omnipro II Panel, that I would like to control via any of the HAI panels I have or via remote access.  Unfortunately only one of the stats show the correct current temp and allows me to make changes remotely.  The rest of the stats are all messed up.   Some allow remote control but don't show correct current info and some don't allow control at all.

(The guy who installed the system is moved on to another business and won't respond to me at all)

First of all do  you thing this is a hardware problem (incorrect wiring) or software problem (not set up correctly)

Assuming hardware, I would assume the first place to look is to see if they are wired right, both on the OMNIPRO end and on Omnistat end.

Can anyone give me some pointers and or point me towards some resources that would help me out.

Thanks in advance.

You do know that each OmniStat needs a unique ID correct?  You set that in the OmniStat setup and the panel needs the IDs as well.  If the IDs were all the same (1 is the default) it might act like you describe.

If some are allowing remote control then the ID is set correctly.... otherwise they would actually all be doing the same thing when T/Stat #1 received a command.

I am going to go with bad wiring job on this one.

Do you have the installer code for your panel?

But... just to double check the IDs... on the Omni keypad hit 5 for temp, it will show you Thermostat #1, start scrolling down through the list, it is ordered by ID number.  We are just going to assume the T/Stats are all numbered sequentially.  Write down the list in order.

Now, go visit each T/Stat, hitting the knob, choose Setup > Installation Settings > Thermostat address.  Make sure they match what you think they should.

Thanks guys appreciate it.

I will check out the IDs and i guess we can take it from there.

I'll keep you posted.
