Optex 360, motion sensor. how do I wire?

You don't have to connect the tamper switch. It's there mainly for commercial installations, to keep people from messing with the sensor during the day while the alarm is disarmed.

Thanks for the reply, so then per the diagram I install the four wires from left to right correct?

Correct. From left to right....+12VDC, common, zone, and zone common. The spare terminal is there to make it easy to install an EOL resistor if you choose to do so.

I wanted to install EOL resistors on everything, how do I do it with the spare? Also will 18/4 monoprice speaker wire work or do I need some kind special wire? If 18/4 will not work, could I use cat 6?

Since it's a normally closed contact, the EOL resistor needs to be in series with it. The way to do this is: Connect one lead of the resistor to the spare terminal, and the other end to the alarm terminal next to it. Connect one wire of the alarm circuit to the alarm terminal in the middle of the strip (the one that doesn't have the resistor lead connected to it), and the other wire of the alarm circuit to the spare terminal, along with the resistor lead. Connect the other two wires to the power terminals.

18/4 will work fine.

To insure I understood you, I attached an image showing the cables the way I think you told me. Is this correct? Also although my cables are marked from my previous alarm installation, and I know which goes to the resistor; I would like to know out of curiosity, of the two cables does it mater which cable goes to the resistor and which does not?

Thanks

Yes, that's exactly it. And no, it doesn't matter which wire goes to which on the alarm contacts. Just make sure you get + and - right on the power terminals, of course.

That is convenient location to place the resistor, thanks for letting me know!

Ok Motion sensors installed, what type of zone will this be under OmniPro? It is not perimeter is it? Also I wanted to configure this to only activate when away is activated on alarm, how would I go about doing that?

Thanks

Set the zone type to "away interior". That way, the zone will be armed only in away or vacation mode.
